I have been making Cara babyfood this morning. I am so excited and shocked that my kid is actually eating. Jamie never wanted anything to do with babyfood. He wanted breast milk or table food and even then he was very selective as to what he would eat.
Cara ate sweet potatos then wanted some peas and green beans while I was making them. Then she still wanted to breastfeed afterwards. I just can't believe how much she ate. She is doing so good with it and I am so proud of her. But it really has me baffled as to how much I am supposed to be feeding her. She isn't even 6 mos old and she is eating the equivalant of 1 1/2 jars of baby food. Is that too much? Should I feed her till she turns away?

Christmas Party
We had our work christmas party last night. I had a lot of fun even though I was the only one not drinking. It was kinda funny watching everyone get drunk and crazy around me. Of course I still smoked way too much so I had a headache from that this morning. I'm kinda sad that I didn't get to go out dancing with everyone but I hopefully will get to do that next year. I just couldn't trust that Cara would stay asleep long enough and she doesn't take a bottle so Jim would be stuck at home listening to a screaming baby. Plus Cara's crys would eventually wake up Jamie then he would have two crying, cranky kids on his hands. Never a fun time. So I skipped going out dancing, but once Cara starts sleeping through the night better I will def need to have a true Mom's night out. :)

Bratty Kid
Why must my kid be such a brat? I love him to death but he is being so mean lately. I have read all the stuff that says this is normal but I just want it to end. All he does is argue with me and get into everything. He is also being quite a little bully to all his friends.
He is at least still being nice to his sister. Well at least most of the time.
This is just so exhausting.
Ok enough complaining now I have to go finish getting ready for my works christmas party. At least I get to leave the monsters home with dad tonight and enjoy a night with my friends.

Early Risers
Why must my kids wake up so early? I have never been much of a morning person. I would rather stay up late and wake up at noon. But my kids have a different opinion. Jamie wakes up every morning at 6am usually crying to go potty and Cara usually wants to eat about the same time. She will go back to sleep till about 8 usually. Of course on the days I work I have to make her get up earlier but she is usually ready for her nap once we get to work.
I have tried keeping them up later at night to get them to sleep in but they still wake up at the same time just crankier. Oh well such is the joys of motherhood.

Christmas Party
We had our annual More than Moms OKC christmas party today. I must say we had a great turn out. I never realize how many people are in the group till we all get together. We had 14 familys with each having 1-2 kids a piece and that isn't even half our members. It was kinda crazy with all the little ones running around and one of them was usually crying about something or another. But all in all it turned out great. Everyone brought really good food and all ate way too much.
I really love our group and I am glad I get to be a part of it. Growing up I never really felt like I belonged. I was always to shy and quiet to really speak up and voice my opinion. I def don't have that problem anymore. :)

Hello
I decided to start blogging again. I haven't done it in awhile because my life has been so crazy lately.
My son Jamie is 2 1/2 and my daughter Cara is 5 mos old. We live in Oklahoma and my husband, Jim is in the Air Force.
I work part time at a Mom's Day Out program in the Village. I love that I get to take both kids to work with me. Cara is in my class so it makes it easier to feed her since she is still breastfed. Most days I love working with all the babies. We have 9 kids and 6 of them are right around Cara's age. It is fun to see how they all learn things at their own speed.
I also have a moms group here that I love. I am one of the admins for the site and we have a very great network of friends. I don't think I would have survived here in OK with out them. When we moved here I was 4-5 mos pregnant with Jamie so I never went back to work. I found them when he was about 3 mos old and they have helped me so much. We get together for playdates as much as possible, which means I am rarely home during the day. Between work, friends, and Jamie's Gymnastics there is always something going on.
I guess that is all for now.
